CANCELLED BY MUSEUM MANAGEMENT!
Dear Rails to Victory Reenactors,
First off, Thank you for the 15 years of participation and support for this event. Rails has always been a different kind of event, where we focussed on Living History and the inclusion of our audience in our presentations and Trolley Ride Adventure. As of 11pm of December 5th, 2025, I received a very short email from the president of the Fox River Trolley Association, that RAILS TO VICTORY HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE MUSEUM WITH OUT EXPLANATION. I founded the event back in 2011 and had been the event's leader for the past 16 years with assistance from some wonderfully generous volunteers who helped me manage the event from my unit and other supportive units. So for 2026, there will be no WW2 event at the Fox River Trolley Museum. I do not know what the future holds beyond that, but for now I will be focussing my reenacting energy in others areas with my unit, 10th Mountain Div. L.H.D.G. and my Rockford Peaches Living History vintage ball team. Thank you again for all that you have done to support this event over the years. I look forward to seeing you all at other area WW2 Reenactments in 2026 including our new "Wings to Victory" at the Poplar Grove Airport.
